"PUTTING WILL COUNTY FIRST."

Tim Kraulidis has a documented history of advocating for smaller, more responsible government. He believes in fewer taxes, less government intrusiveness and more accountability. He has appeared as a guest on WLS, WIND, WYLL and WGN radio stations to debate and promote such matters. He is employed in the Industrial Construction sector and has a B.S. degree from DePaul University College of Commerce. Tim, his wife Debbie, and their children Noah, Haley and Dylan, live in Plainfield Township.

He is running to ensure that our local government is accountable with our tax dollars, responsible in its spending, and effective in its oversight. In addition, he wants to make sure that our community is protected from the encroachment of Chicago/Cook County politicians and their attempts to purge Will County revenues to prop up their own failing, bloated government.

Why are millions of our tax dollars funding the CTA? That’s right, the “Chicago” Transit Authority. This is just one of many examples of our tax dollars going elsewhere. Our Democrat opponents here in Will County have cozied up to the Chicago/Cook County machine which takes every opportunity it can to siphon our tax dollars into to its coffers. This needs to end! With your help, together, we can accomplish this. May I have your vote on Nov. 6th?

·        Every year, Will County taxpayers, through sales tax and income taxes export large percentages of their taxes out of Will County. The Transfer of our revenue is inequitable. If left unchallenged, this inequity will continue to grow.
·        The State Legislature has passed a new Congressional map. We now have Congressman Dan Lipinski, Bobby Rush, and Jesse Jackson Jr. representing Will County. We have gone from having two members of Congress who need Will County to get elected to 4-5 members of Congress who can be elected without paying any attention to Will County at all.
·        Our population has nearly doubled. Cook County has lost hundreds of thousands in population, yet we still lose our representation. If we need something in Will County, We have to go to a Chicago Congressman to make our request.
·        Since the 1960’s, the percentage of income tax that comes from a given municipality or County that goes back to that town or County has not changed. However, the legislature and Governor Quinn tried to take more this year so that redistribution of revenues can find funding back to high taxing, bloated governments such as Chicago/Cook County. They had several proposals to siphon revenue from our area. One would cut Will County’s percentages across the board.  For example, in real dollars, it would have been – approximately – a $800,000.00 cut to Mokena, a $700, 000.00 cut to Frankfort, well over $1 million for the Joliet / Plainfield area, and an additional $1.5 million throughout the rest of Will County. These are dollars paid by Will County residents that are supposed to fund our local government. We were able to beat back this attempt. We expect that they will try again. In addition, they will try to get officials that put party over politics elected in our area. Together, we can stop them. Let’s put Will County first.
